Tetra Pond AlgoFree* effectively eliminates several species of algae. It destroys blanketweed in your ornamental pond in the long run and combats floating algae, which is responsible for green water. You will see the effect reliably within only a few days. The ingredients in Tetra Pond AlgoFree* destroy the algae's cell wall. Afterwards, the remains are quickly broken down microbiologically. Due to this process short-term foaming may occur in your ornamental pond. In addition to acute algae treatment, this product is particularly useful for preventing algal blooms, especially in spring. Tetra Pond AlgoFree* can also be used to fight algae growth during summer. This product is suitable for ornamental ponds without harming fish, plants or microorganisms. To achieve the best possible result, shake Tetra Pond AlgoFree* well before use and follow the detailed instructions. Thanks to the included dosing cap, Tetra Pond AlgoFree* can be dosed very precisely. Use the dosing cap, add 25 ml per 1,000 L of pond water and distribute the liquid evenly in the water, for example with a stick. Ensure a sufficient oxygen supply during the treatment and do not use UV clarifier and activated carbon for at least seven days. Also, you should refrain from doing any water changes for approximately four weeks. For heavy algae growth a redosing with half the amount after a period of two weeks is recommended. To restore clear water more quickly after using Tetra Pond AlgoFree*, Tetra recommends the use of Tetra Pond CrystalWater about four to five days after applying Tetra Pond AlgoFree*. The algae residues can then be removed more easily via the filter or manually, e.g. with the Tetra Algae Net.
