About Tetra
More than 70 years ago, the young scientist Dr. Ulrich Baensch revolutionizsed the world of aquatics. In the 1950s, he began breeding tropical ornamental fish in Hanover, but there was a challenge: live food was hard to get and presented a major hurdle for many hobbyists. But Dr. Baensch changed that – and developed the first commercial fish food. TetraMin, the groundbreaking fish food, was born. Aquatics, once a niche hobby, became accessible to everyone thanks to TetraMin and today fascinates over 3 million people in Germany alone.
